Creekview Cares Important Info

In an effort to coordinate all the wonderful ideas and efforts to help our Creekview families, the PTO and the school asks that you send that request or idea through Creekview Cares.

The school is in the process of identifying the families who were affected, and Creekview Cares will help coordinate the specific needs of our families.

If you are a family that has specific needs or an idea how to assist, please send your idea or request to Cindy Kettler ([email protected]). She will work with Mrs. Robinett and other Creekview Cares volunteers to implement the ideas and help meet the needs of our families.
*Please Note: Creekview Cares is looking to meet needs such as meals, school supplies, house hold needs and not specific demo or clean up help. Thank you!

Creekview Cares- Gift Card Drive

***GIFT CARD DRIVE BEGINS TUES., SEPT. 5th***

Our Creekview family needs our help. While some of us were very fortunate, Hurricane Harvey flooded so many of the homes of our friends and neighbors. In an effort to help them get started with repairs and rebuilding, we are going to have a gift card drive beginning Tuesday and extending for the next 2 weeks.
Some examples of gift cards that would be helpful are Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Ace, HEB, Kroger, and any of our local restaurant gift cards. Your thoughtfulness for our families is greatly appreciated.

Helping Kids Deal With Hurricanes/Floods

• Try and keep routines as normal as possible. Kids gain security from the predictability of routine, including attending school.
• Limit exposure to television and the news.
• Be honest with kids and share with them as much information as they are developmentally able to handle.
• Listen to kids’ fears and concerns.
• Parents and adults need to first deal with and assess their own responses to crisis and stress.
• Rebuild and reaffirm attachments and relationships.
