Creekview Cares Important Info

In an effort to coordinate all the wonderful ideas and efforts to help our Creekview families, the PTO and the school asks that you send that request or idea through Creekview Cares.

The school is in the process of identifying the families who were affected, and Creekview Cares will help coordinate the specific needs of our families.

If you are a family that has specific needs or an idea how to assist, please send your idea or request to Cindy Kettler ([email protected]). She will work with Mrs. Robinett and other Creekview Cares volunteers to implement the ideas and help meet the needs of our families.
*Please Note: Creekview Cares is looking to meet needs such as meals, school supplies, house hold needs and not specific demo or clean up help. Thank you!

Creekview Cares- Gift Card Drive

Our Creekview family needs our help. While some of us were very fortunate, Hurricane Harvey flooded so many of the homes of our friends and neighbors. In an effort to help them get started with repairs and rebuilding, we are going to have a gift card drive beginning Tuesday and extending for the next 2 weeks.
Some examples of gift cards that would be helpful are Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Ace, HEB, Kroger, and any of our local restaurant gift cards. Your thoughtfulness for our families is greatly appreciated.

Kids coping with Harvey

This helpful info was shared by our counselor, Mrs. Robinett, more information can be found at
Helping Kids Deal With Hurricanes/Floods

• Try and keep routines as normal as possible. Kids gain security from the predictability of routine, including attending school.
• Limit exposure to television and the news.
• Be honest with kids and share with them as much information as they are developmentally able to handle.
• Listen to kids’ fears and concerns.
• Parents and adults need to first deal with and assess their own responses to crisis and stress.
• Rebuild and reaffirm attachments and relationships.

Hope to see you then!

Schedule Changes thie Week

Dear Creekview families.

There are a couple changes to our schedule this week that we want to make you aware of.

This Thursday is Kindergarten registration. We will be pre-registering our kindergarten students for next school year. It will be very packed with appointments and our office staff will be extremely busy. Because of that, we are going to have NO PARENT LUNCH VISITORS this Thursday, April 13th.
Speaking of Kindergarten registration, if you have a student who will be 5 on or before Sept 1st, please call 281-357-3070 today or tomorrow to schedule an appointment. Also if you see kids out in your neighborhood or at the local park who look to be Kindergarten age, please ask their parents to call the school. We would love to get as many students enrolled this spring as we possibly can.
Finally, we will have a student and teacher holiday this Friday so there is no school. Once again, there will be no school this Friday, April 14.
